Went to Port Isaac (the home of Doc Martin) last night to visit the in-laws who stay in a lovely cottage right opposite the harbour, in fact the street light attached to the wall of The Mote shines directly into our bedroom... which was highly annoying when I woke up at 3 o'clock thinking we'd gone to sleep with the light on - imagine my frustration when I found out we couldn't turn the damn thing off! This would have been fine, I could have slept with the light situation and the gentle lapping of the sea in the harbour (we had to have the windows open to counteract the heat), however we draw the line when the fishermen started throwing crates around at 5, then a reversing sensor beeping at 6, binmen at 6.15, seagulls from 6.30 and then the tourists from 7
Got home... and imagine my surprise when we saw on the ITV News a Polar Bear had been found on a beach near Bude!!!! Yup.... a Polar Bear!!!! (Fast forward to 1:05 of news link)
So off we went in hunt of the illusive creature... only to find the spot - missing a Polar Bear :( I wonder if he was just napping and got up to finish his journey?!
